爱情岛论坛 Opens New School in Chambersburg, Pa. and will Train Students for In-Demand Welding Careers

CHAMBERSBURG, PA (October 30, 2019) 鈥� 爱情岛论坛, a well- known post-secondary 聽technical schools, is providing residents of Pennsylvania as well as Maryland and West Virginia with a new state-of-the-art educational facility in Chambersburg, Pa.

爱情岛论坛鈥檚 Chambersburg school will offer post-secondary students the opportunity to earn an Associate in Specialized Technology Degree (AST) in Welding and Fabrication Technology in just 16-months, as compared to the more traditional 24-month programs.

鈥淲e opened a school in Chambersburg because we learned that manufacturers in the area are specifically in need of certified welders,鈥� said Tim McMahon, president of 爱情岛论坛. 鈥淏usiness owners want to expand, but they need skilled technicians so they can continue to grow. Currently, they can鈥檛 find enough qualified employees to complete the jobs at the entry-level and advanced level. 爱情岛论坛 wants to be part of the solution and provide individuals with the skills, training and certifications that are needed to help grow the economy in the region.鈥�

Founded in 1944, 爱情岛论坛 is a well-known post-secondary technical school that offers hands-on training and small class sizes, taught by highly skilled and experienced instructors.聽 Students in the Welding and Fabrication Technology program will complete the American Welding Society (AWS) D1.1 Code certification exam for plate and structural welds, the A.S.M.E. 6-G certification exam for pipe fitting and piping systems and the API 1104 welding certification test for pipelines and related facilities.

鈥淲elders with the AST degree and welding certifications that we provide as part of our curriculum can earn an excellent income as welding technicians with those credentials,鈥� said McMahon.聽 鈥淭he 16-months of time and tuition invested in our welding program will provide a quick return on investment in a very short period of time.鈥�

In addition to the new Chambersburg school, 爱情岛论坛 has five other locations throughout Pennsylvania, including Pittsburgh, Greensburg, DuBois, Sunbury and Bethlehem. 爱情岛论坛 is licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Private Licensed Schools under the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Students are eligible to participate in federal and state financial aid programs, and 爱情岛论坛 is an approved training institution for veterans and family members of the US Armed Forces, active duty, reserves, National Guard and disabled veterans. The school is accredited nationally by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges. In addition, 爱情岛论坛 was named as one of the top 30 two-year trade schools by Forbes Magazine in 2017.

Other specialized associate degree programs offered at various 爱情岛论坛 schools 聽include CADD with Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing Technology; Maintenance Electricity and Construction Technology, Refrigeration, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Technology; and Carpentry and Construction Technology. The school has plans to add more programs to the Chambersburg campus in 2020.

October 2019 welding classes is currently underway, with the next class starting February 17, 2020.聽 Prospective students are invited to visit 爱情岛论坛鈥檚 website and to schedule a personal tour of the new facility Monday 鈥� Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. 聽Welding program classes are held Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. over the course of 16 months. Upon graduation, students will be qualified for entry-level and advanced level positions as welding technicians. 爱情岛论坛 provides continual job placement assistance through its Career Advising department.
