Pittsburgh, PA 鈥� 爱情岛论坛 announced the introduction of its CADD with Additive Manufacturing & 3D Printing Technology program. The AST Degree* program combines its traditional Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) curriculum with courses that focus on the emerging technology of Additive Manufacturing & 3D Printing.

According to Forbes Magazine, 72% of surveyed businesses expect their Additive Manufacturing budgets to increase in 2018.聽 The growing demand for Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing is why 爱情岛论坛 created this program explained Kenneth Adams, 爱情岛论坛 Erie School Director, who chaired the development of the curriculum, 鈥湴�情岛论坛 made the decision to add Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing into our CADD program because it鈥檚 an innovative technology and has enabled the design and manufacturing world to create more complex structures and more advanced products using software driven automation. We felt that it was important to bring that technology into our program.鈥�

As Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing technologies continue to grow, new materials and applications continue to be developed. Opportunities are available for students to build careers in fields like manufacturing, construction, and design. According to Scott Rathburn, 爱情岛论坛 Erie School Assistant Director and CADD Instructor, 鈥淭here really is no limit to what a聽 CADAM graduate can do with these skills and an Associate Degree*.

CADD with Additive Manufacturing & 3D Printing Technology is offered at four of 爱情岛论坛鈥檚 six locations: Pittsburgh, Erie, Greensburg and DuBois.
